Special Community Betterment Grant Program

On September 23, 2025, City Council adopted Resolution No. 2025-112 establishing the Special Community Betterment Grant Program. This program allows the City of Kearney to distribute special contributions to the Lottery Trust Fund following an open grant application period and recommendation from the Keno Application Advisory Committee for approval by City Council.

The money will be used to fund grants for Community Betterment Purposes, which are outlined in Resolution No. 2025-112.

Pursuant to established rules and regulations, the City receives Special Community Betterment Grant Applications for community betterment projects from private or public not-for-profit organizations starting September 24, 2025, through October 31, 2025, at 11:00 am. The City Council awards grants in November 2025 and funding for approved projects will be made available starting December 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026.
