Thanksgiving Dance.
11. Approve the Addendum to
the South Central Area Law Enforcement Service (SCALES)
Agreement to allow the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office to participate as a
member and approve Resolution No. 2002-255.
12. Approve the bid received
from Nebraska Truck Center in the amount of $78,267.00 for the purchase of one
current production 10 cubic yard dump truck for the Public Works/Transportation
Division.
13. Approve the bid received
from Fairbanks International in the amount of $35,250.00 for the purchase of a
four-wheel assist tractor with cab along with mounted loader, rotary mower and
sprayer for the Utilities/Solid Waste Division.
14. Approve the request to
conduct a parade as submitted by the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars
and the Disabled American Veterans on Monday, November 11, 2002 beginning at
4:00 p.m. The parade will begin at
Railroad Street and Central Avenue, north on Central Avenue to the parking lot
located north of MONA.
15. Approve the request from
Kearney Downtown Centre Association to (1) place Santa’s house in front of
Nelson’s Furniture (2109 Central Avenue) from November 22, 2002 until December
28, 2002; (2) the placement of a Christmas banner at the intersection of
Central Avenue and 23rd Street from November 26, 2002 until December 31, 2002;
(3) the placement of the Christmas tree at the intersection of 22nd Street and
Central Avenue from November 26, 2002 through December 31, 2002; (4) to block
off four parking stalls on Central Avenue in front of Lungrin’s for Mom &
Pop’s Kettle Korn on December 5, 2002 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and (5)
to block off the north side of 21st Street from the alley to Central Avenue
(south side of Nelson’s Furniture) for a reindeer display on December 5, 2002
from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
16. Approve the Pipeline
Crossing Agreement between the City of Kearney and the Union Pacific Railroad
Company for a pipeline to be located on railroad right-of-way at Mile Post
185.510 and approve Resolution No. 2002-256.
