  2. Crane River: Page to State — Cinderella!

    From the comfort of your own home, you can follow along as the Crane River Theater brings the story of Cinderella to life! Cinderella spends her days in a life of servitude for her cruel stepmother and dreams of a better life. With the help of her Fairy Godmother, her wishes come true, and she's transformed into a beautiful princess. She meets a handsome prince but must leave before the spell wears off and her dress returns to rags. Leaving behind just one glass slipper, will the Prince be able to find Cinderella and live happily ever after? After all, even if we know the story by heart, we still hold our breath until we are sure that the slipper fits. Join us for this free, magical event for all ages. Registration is required.

  3. Edible Book Festival: Last Day to Register Youth Category

    June 22, 2021, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    Youth Category (Ages 9-12) registration closes at noon on Tuesday, June 22. We will have online voting (Facebook & website) on Wednesday, June 23. Celebrate two of the best things in the world: books and food! Create an edible book simply by creating something edible that is somehow book-related. Registration is required and open now for all groups. Registration deadlines vary depending on the age group category. One entry per participant. Entries must be made of at least 95% edible materials and be family-friendly.

  4. Extreme Dot-to-Dot

    Exercise your left and right brains at the same time with these complex dot-to-dot puzzles. Intricate, challenging, and wildly rewarding to finish, puzzles range from 500 to over 1,400 dots. Counting, mapping, and concentration are just a few of the educational benefits of connecting the dots. Registration is required and limited to 50 participants per session (Adult and Youth & Teen). Supply packets may be picked up at the library's front desk or via curbside pickup on or after the listed pickup date.

  5. Pets Reading Photo Contest

    Send us a photo of your pet (real or pretend) reading! Entries accepted through Wednesday, June 30 at noon. Online voting will take place from July 1-11. Email photos to in JPG format with the subject line “Pets Reading.” Please include the entrant’s first and last name, contact information (phone number, email, or both), and age category. We’ll print your entry and display it at the library. • Age Categories: Youth 0-12, Teen 13-18, Adult 19+ • One entry per person per age group. • Winners will receive Buffalo Bucks!

    Love to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, or create other fiber arts? This is the group for you! Join us for informal sessions with other creative people to share tips, troubleshoot problems, and learn something new. Drop-in for fun, friends, and fiber! Volunteer coaches for knitting will be available. Limited to 10 people per room with social distancing and face masks required. Registration is not required.

  7. Virtual Crafternoon: Way Up High in a Tall Green Tree

    Way up high in a rainforest tree, there's lots and lots for us to see. It's right to the top! Climb along with me! Let's explore each branch of this tall green tree! Listen to Miss Shawna read "Way Up High in a Tall Green Tree" by Jan Peck and then create a snake craft. Registration is required and is limited to 50 participants. Register by Tuesday, June 15 at 8:00 am. Registrants can pick up craft supplies at the front desk beginning Tuesday, Jane 15. Miss Shawna will have a crafternoon video posted on Facebook, our website, and the library's YouTube channel on Tuesday, June 22 at 4:00 pm. You can watch and craft anytime you wish.
