Join us for informal sessions with other creative people to share tips, troubleshoot problems, and learn something new. Drop-in for fun, friends, and fiber! Volunteer coaches for knitting will be available. Registration is not required.
If you love digging into your ancestral past, this is the study hall for you! Use the library's resources to help you in your quest. This class won't teach you what to do, but volunteers from the Buffalo County Historical Society and library staff will be there to give assistance when needed. So, if you enjoy delving into your ancestry but haven't been finding time to work on it - come search with us!
We’re just batty about Halloween! Create two fun bat crafts to prepare for Halloween. We will be making paper straw bats and a tiny bat using a mini candy bar. We are offering both in-person and take-home sessions for this program — so choose the right option for you when you register! Limited to 50 participants age 6-13 per session.
In-Person Session Details: All the supplies will be provided on-site and Shawna will have a live demonstration of the event.
Virtual Session Details: The library will provide all the needed supplies except for scissors and glue/tape. The supply packets will be available for pick up beginning at 9:00 am and the video will be released at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, October 19. You can create whenever you wish!

Today we are going to taste test some of the worst candy! Like…black licorice. Or…circus peanuts! Ick! Does anyone really like this stuff? Come give it a try! Maybe, just maybe, you will find a new favorite candy! (food allergy warning) Limited to 30 participants aged 12-18 years old. Registration required.
Meet us in the upstairs area of Cunningham's Journal (15 W. 23rd St) and play our trivia game! Teams of one to six people will answer 30 trivia questions in one hour. The answers will be revealed in the second hour. Smartphones, devices, or handwritten notes will not be allowed to help answer questions. The team with the most correct answers wins a prize.
