Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 1 to kick off the annual summer programming and reading challenge at the library! We have reading challenges and programs for all ages! The library is open on June 1 from 9am to 9pm.
Kickoff day includes:
- All-day: Pick up a Readopoly challenge sheet or print one from our website
- All-day: Watch our Facebook page and enter to win door prizes
- 2:30pm: Bike helmet fitting for kids and adults with CHI Health and Safe Kids – while supplies last! $10 suggested donation.
- 4:00-6:00pm: Kearney Community Showcase! Visit with local community helpers and learn about their jobs. Get a stamp at each booth and turn in your passport for a chance at a prize.
- 4:00-6:00pm: Meet the therapy dogs from our Paws to Read program!
- 4:00-6:00pm: Giveaway prizes for in-person visitors – while supplies last! The first 200 youth will receive a free book from Modern Woodmen of America!
