Crafternoon: Nobody Hugs a Cactus

Tuesday, January 25, 2022

Hank is the prickliest cactus in the entire world. He sits in a pot in the window that faces the empty desert, which is just how he likes it. He doesn’t like noise, he doesn’t like rowdiness, and definitely doesn’t like hugs. But the thing is, no one is offering one. So, he comes up with a plan to get the one thing he thought he would never need: a hug from a friend.  After the story, we will create a cactus craft.

Come listen to Miss Shawna read Nobody Hugs a Cactus by Carter Goodrich and then create a cactus-themed craft. We are offering both in-person and virtual sessions for this program—so choose the right option for you when you register! Supplies for the virtual sessions will be available for pick up beginning at 9:00 am and the video will be released at 4:00 pm on January 25. You can craft anytime you wish. Limited to 50 participants aged 2–12 per session.
