Virtual Crafternoon (Youth)

Full Description

This program is a storytime and a craft put together! Miss Shawna will have a crafternoon video posted on Facebook, our website, and the library's YouTube channel on the dates listed below. Registration is required. Each session is limited to 50 participants in PreK- Grade 3. You can watch and craft anytime you wish.

February: Penguin on Vacation
Brrrr...it's been a long winter. Penguin is tired of the cold and snow - so he decides to go on a vacation! But where should he go and who will he meet? Listen to Miss Shawna read Penguin on Vacation by Salina Yoon and then create a penguin craft. Register by Tuesday, January 26 at 8:00 am. Registrants can pick up craft supplies at the front desk beginning Tuesday, January 26. The crafternoon video will be released on Tuesday, February 2 at 4:00 pm. 

March: Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?
It's 'Read Across America Day,' a day to celebrate our favorite activity...reading! The day occurs each year on the birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss. Listen to Miss Shawna read Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? by Dr. Seuss and then create a cow craft. Register by Tuesday, February 23 at 8:00 am. Registrants can pick up craft supplies at the front desk beginning on Tuesday, February 23. The crafternoon video will be released on Tuesday, March 2 at 4:00 pm.

April: The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear
Little Mouse loves strawberries, but so does the big hungry bear. . .How will Little Mouse stop the bear from eating his freshly picked, red ripe strawberry? Listen to Miss Shawna read The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear by Audrey Wood and then create a strawberry craft. Register by Tuesday, March 30 at 8:00 am. Registrants can pick up craft supplies at the front desk beginning on Tuesday, March 30. The crafternoon video will be released on Tuesday, April 6 at 4:00 pm.
