Special Designated License
A Special Designated License for sale or consumption of alcoholic liquor at a designated location within the city limits may be issued by the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission after approval of the local governing body.
The Liquor Commission implemented a new Special Designated License (SDL) On-Line System for processing applications. The SDL applicant will only need to register once. After that time, they will be set up in the new system for all future on-line applications.
A Non-Profit Organization will need to register with the Liquor Commission prior to applying for the new Special Designated License (SDL) On-Line System.
All applications for a special designated license, with local governing body approval and proper fees, must be received by the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission at least ten working days prior to the event. Applications not received at least ten workings days prior to the event will not be processed.
As a City requirement for applying for a special designated license, the City has development a supplemental form that must accompany the application for a special designated license. Both the liquor licensee and the citizen requesting liquor at an event must sign the supplemental form. If the supplemental form is not attached to the application for a special designated license, the application will not be placed before the City Council for determination.
If applicable, forms for outdoor areas or Non-Profits that would also need to be submitted with the Recommendation Form are provided below.
