    If you love digging into your ancestral past, this is the study hall for you! Use the library’s resources to help you in your quest. This class won’t teach you what to do, but volunteers from the Buffalo County Historical Society and library staff will be there to give assistance when it’s needed. So, if you enjoy delving into your ancestry but haven’t been finding time to work on it – come search with us!

  4. One Author Kearney: Author Nancy Horan

    Kearney Public Library Foundation and Kearney Public Library proudly presents an evening with authors Nancy Horan and Gail Tsukiyama. Join us for an evening of conversation and readings. A book signing will follow the presentations. Nancy Horan is the author of two novels. Loving Frank (2007) chronicles a little-known chapter in the life of legendary American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, and his client, Mamah Cheney. Loving Frank remained on the New York Times Bestseller list for over a year. Under the Wide and Starry Sky, a TODAY Book Club pick and one of the Washington Post’s top fiction books of 2014, explores the unlikely relationship of Robert Louis Stevenson and his spirited American wife, Fanny Van de Grift Stevenson. This is a free ticketed program. Free tickets will be available August 5 at KPL with a limit of two per person.
