Come enjoy and explore America’s most iconic decade at the 2019 Nebraska Chautauqua: The Fifties in Focus, presented by Humanities Nebraska. Join your friends, family, neighbors in Kearney on August 2 & 3 for free public events/programs exploring different aspects of the 1950s, including pop culture, politics, agriculture, foreign relations and beyond. You will get to “meet” civil rights leaders Rosa Parks and Thurgood Marshall at Chautauqua-style presentations and hear keynote remarks from noted author William Hitchcock (The Age of Eisenhower: America and the World in the 1950s).
