Create original artwork. It will be sent off to be made into a melamine bowl. For youth in Grades 3-12. Limit of 25 participants. Please register by 9 pm on June 2.

This program is based on the nonfiction book "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes." Adults will meet in the Niobrara room to fold; while the youth meet in the South Platte to fold a simpler version. At summer's end, all origami cranes will be sent to cancer patients to give them hope. No registration required.

Have you been looking for a new outlet for your creative juices? Why not try your hand at the traditional art of tooling leather! Join guest instructor "V" - the Gypsy Cowbelle for this introductory workshop to get you started on the right foot into the wonderful world of leatherwork. Learn skills such as designing patterns, selecting tools, carving, stamping, and finishing edges. Plenty of reference materials, simple patterns, and access to dozens of tools will be provided as you craft your own switch plate cover. Registration required. $10 materials fee. Limited to 15 participants ages 18 and up.
