Kearneyite Steve Rothenberger, member of the Nebraska Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame, will present a flashback to the 1960s when dragging main, drive-ins, sock hops, and soda pop were major teenage past times. This flashback is based on the recent publication of his book, A Rock 'n Roll Retrospective of Small Town America. Steve will explore the decade of the 60s that gave us pure rock 'n roll from street corner doo-wop and the British Invasion to Woodstock in 1969. The 1960s was quite possibly the greatest musical decade of all time, when simple rock 'n roll melodies helped our nation endure a war and accept rapid political changes. Q and A and book signing will follow. Come and flash back to the '60s with us!
