If you love digging into your ancestral past, this is the study hall for you! Use the library's resources to help you in your quest and spend time with other like-minded people. This won't be a class to teach you what to do, but volunteers from the Buffalo County Historical Society and library staff will be there to give assistance when it's needed. So if you enjoy delving into your ancestry but haven't been finding time to work on it - come search with us! Ages 18+

Warm your heart and tickle your funny bone with stories, miming, and good old-fashioned family fun with national storyteller Antonio Rocha. He returns to Kearney to kick off the Storytelling Festival at the library with stories for families. Born and raised in Brazil, Antonio Rocha has performed his unique blend of mime and verbal narrative in over twelve countries and six continents. All ages.

Meet in the basement of the Chicken Coop and play our trivia game! Thirty questions in one hour. Form teams of up to five people or play alone! The winning team receives a $50 gift certificate to the Chicken Coop and bragging rights. No smart phones can be used to answer questions.
